Pam comes from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, where she taught private piano lessons for over 40 years. She is married to Jim Kalamaras and has two daughters. Moving to OTOW has been a mixture of many new friends and activities. Pam challenges herself to ballet, jazz, and other dance throughout the week. She is also the director of the Poms Dance and Cheer Squad, which keeps her very busy. Aside from dance and piano, she loves to read, swim, travel, play bingo, bunco and shuffleboard, attend performances, and enjoy her family. She sings soprano in the chorus and appreciates and admires all the people that create our lovely chorus. The love of being able to continue the art of music and dance has pushed Pam to pursue new and challenging experiences that make her smile. When you see Pam you will always see her smile. "The true beauty of music is that it connects people. It carries a message, and we, the musicians, are the messengers." - Roy Ayers. This is what Pam wants and gets out of the OTOW chorus. Then everyone smiles. Pam is the chorus treasurer.
My hubby Wayne and I moved from Nazareth PA in 2017 to OTOW. This is my 6th year with the OTOW Concert Chorus. Music has been a significant part of my life since early childhood. Here are a few memorable highlights through the years: singing in the Ryman Auditorium with the TN All State Chorus; attending a concert in the same venue with Boots Randolph, Chet Atkins and Floyd Cramer; meeting and talking to Pat & Shirley Boone; singing solos for many marryin’s and buryin’s through the years; and this year seeing and listening to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in SLC. Today I’m just thankful they let me stay in the OTOW Concert Chorus, being Secretary may help. One of my favorite hobbies is cooking so I published “Practicing Hospitality Cookbook”. Photography is another hobby so being in the OTOW Shutterbugs Club is a joy. God has blessed my life beyond what I could ever have imagined!
